Sophath Vy of Lowell

Sophath Vy, 51, of Lowell, MA died Friday, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia he was the son of the late . . . and . . . . He came to the United States in 1983. He graduated from Charlotte High School in North Carolina with the class of 1986.
He worked at Romanow Containers Inc. of Littleton, MA as a supervisor in the manufacturing division.
He was a member of Wat Khmer Samaki Santikaram Temple Church of North Chelmsford, MA.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother Yan Iv of Charlotte, NC, his sons David Vy of Boston, Kavoeun “BJ” Srey of Lowell, Rithsothea Vy of Lowell, Rithsota Vy of Lowell, and Stepsons Moneyrot and Vota Pola of Lowell. Brothers, Sophal Vy of Charlotte, NC, Sophorn Vy and wife Chan Vy of Spartanburg, SC, Sisters Chenda Vy of Charlotte, NC, Chumno Kim of Brisbane, Australia, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, followed by a procession to Wat Khmer Samaki Santikaram Temple, 85 Tyngsboro Rd. North Chelmsford, MA 01863. Funeral Saturday at 8 AM from the Wat Khmer Samaki Santikaram Temple, followed by services at Linwood Crematory at 41 John Ward Ave. Haverhill, MA 01830.
