Yim Vong of Lowell

“Yim Vong, 62, of Lowell, MA left her physical body on December 2nd, 2018
and began her journey to Nirvana while surrounded by her family and close
friends.

Yim was born on April 5th, 1956 in Kampong Thom, Cambodia as well as was
raised and educated.  She is the daughter of Oum Men and Seng In, both
deceased and of Cambodia.

In 1981, Yim came to America where she met and married her husband and
became a US citizen shortly after. She was a beloved, respected and active
member within her community and part of the Trairatanaram Temple in
Chelmsford, MA for many decades.

Yim relished in being a homemaker, caretaker of her husband, children and
grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, attending and being a part
of many family gatherings and events throughout the years.

Throughout her professional life, Yim held a 20+ year career at FujiFilm of
Bedford, MA and retired shortly after.

Yim was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all.  She
will be forever  remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness and compassion.

She is survived by her husband, Thao Thou, having just celebrated 35 years
in September, son Thavrith Thao, son Thavrath Thao and his fiance Nicholas
Supple, daughter Melina Sorth and her husband Sophun Sorth and
grandchildren Landon and Hunter Sorth, son Thavrak Thao, 3 sisters in
Cambodia, Siem Om, Sokhom Om and Sarom Om and their spouses as well as many
loving nieces, nephews, cousin’s and extended family members.”
