Phan Ok “Tol” of Lowell

On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, Phan Ok, affectionately known as Tol, passed away at age 79 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Tol was born on September 12, 1939 in Khal Chroy Village within Prek Eng Commune, of the Kien Svay District and Kandal Province of Cambodia. She was the youngest daughter of Mr Ouk Kim and Mrs Kong Suong.

Tol had a passion for learning and was a devoted buddhist. Her life was never easy, but it was beautiful. She paved a path for her children to make it in America and watched as they all married and began their own families. Tol helped to raise her grandchildren and was showered with love. She was kind, she had a compassionate spirit and always smiled.

Though she developed Dementia, we remember her for the love she gave, the laughter she shared in and the memories that will live on.

Tol is survived by her four children, Kunnavath, Chanthou, Kointheir and Ussar; her 10 grandchildren, Rinna, Danny, Jonathan, Patrick, Chanthiya, Vuthika, Justin, Andy, Nalissa and Nisa; and four great-grandchildren, Ava, Peyton, Isabella and Bailey; children in law, Sonthi Kem, Chankoma Pen, Deesuonita Lun, and Sokphanna Te. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 6th, 2019 at Dolan Funeral Home from 12-4pm.
