Sakhan Song, 76, of Ayer MA, passed away Friday Morning, April 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Kampong Speu, Cambodia and received his education there.
Sakhan came to the United States in May of 1981 and became a United States citizen in December of 1988.
He worked as an assembler for many years and retired from BASF in Bedford, MA.
Mr. Song enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as reading, writing, and listening to music. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching tennis and basketball, especially his favorite team, the Celtics. He cherished the company of his family most of all.
He is survived by his loving wife Sann Chhoeun of Ayer, four children, Sin “Brian” Chea and his wife Theary of Pepperell, MA, Sith Chea of Ayer, MA, Charles Chhoeun and his wife Leslie of Ayer, MA, and Sopheap Song and her husband Manith Chreong of Dacula, GA, a brother, Scott Prak and his wife Ponnavy of Houston, TX, a sister, Kim Lang Song of Cambodia, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
At the request of his family, visitation and funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD MA 01863.
