Song Sam, 88, of Dracut, passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2021 at his home.
Born in Kampong Speu, Cambodia he was the son of the late Kauth Sam and Yim Kong.
He came to the US on June 27, 1981 and became a United States Citizen in 1991. Mr. Sam worked for many years at BASF of Bedford Ma until his retirement.
Mr. Sam was very active with the Glory Buddhist Temple in Lowell, and enjoyed politics and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Sophal Ouk, and is survived by his children, Chhayan Sam Chea, Frank Phanath Sam, Peter Phany Sam, Chetra Sam, Boramy Sam, Amy Sam Lam, Seda Sam-Mao and Serei Sakun Sam, a brother, a sister, 16 grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Friday, Jan 15, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., Chelmsford. His funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home by 2:30 PM and conclude at Glory Buddhist Temple. His funeral procession will leave Glory Buddhist Temple on Saturday at 8AM and conclude at Merrimack Cremation Service, 10 Henry Clay Dr. Merrimack, NH.
