Cesare Custer DeLizza of Alfred, ME

Cesare C. DeLizza, 89, of Alfred, ME died Sunday Dec. 11, 2016 at his home.

He was the husband of the late Rita I. (Dupuis) DeLizza who died Jan. 6, 2016 and the late Diana (Callanan) DeLizza who died in 1962.

Born in New York City, NY on May 28,1927, He was a

Son of the late Philip and Anna DeLizza. Formerly of Dracut, MA and Nashua, NH, Cesare earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Lowell Tech.

During the Korean War, he served with the US Marines. He worked as a Nuclear Engineer for many years before retiring in 1988 from the University of Lowell.

He enjoyed boating and traveling. He also was an avid reader and NY Yankees fan.

He is survived by his son, Philip DeLizza of Omaha, NE; step-daughter, Cheryl Cunningham of Lowell; step- son Scott Bernier and his wife Gail of Westford; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

He was the father of the late Mark DeLizza of Nashua, NH and the late Christopher DeLizza of Robinsville, NJ; and brother of the late Joan Franz.
