Chanvichet Sem, 64, of Lowell, passed away Thursday, May 23th at Billerica Life Care Center.
He was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on April 21, 1955 one of 12 children of the late Tep Yuk and Kuy Somhorn.
He came to the USA in 1988 and became a US citizen. He attended UMass Lowell.
He retired from Tewksbury State Hospital in 2014.
He enjoyed meditating, reading and going to the beach.
Mr. Sem was married to Sarady Chey for 30 years.
He is survived by his children William Sem of Lowell and Jennifer Sem of Lowell; a grand daughter Izabella Long of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be Thursday May 30, 2019 from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St. N. Chelmsford, MA, with a procession to Glory Temple in Lowell to follow. A funeral procession will be leaving Glory Temple at 8 AM, Friday May 31, 2019 going in procession to Westlawn II Cemetery Lowell, MA. Arrangements are by the Dolan Funeral Home.
