Live Streaming Funeral Home And Cremations Westford MACyril A. Pipan, 90, of Westford, MA, died Monday, July 18, 2022 at High Point Hospice in Haverhill.

Born and raised in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Barbara Pipan.

He graduated from Benedictine High School, Cleveland, OH. He served four years in the U. S. Air Force. He received an Associate Degree in Physics from Penn State University and a B.S. from the University of Scranton. He attended American International College towards a Masters.

Cyril was employed as Director of Marketing and Sales in an optical company which specialized in optics for optical benches, planes, ships, and space crafts. His boss would say: “Cy can sell a refrigerator to an Eskimo.” His part-time employment was at the University of Lowell Evening School and Middlesex Community College teaching Math Can Be Fun, a basic math course. Cy was also with SPIE, a professional journal.

Cy was an active member of St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, serving as Eucharistic Minister, teaching CCD, helping with fundraising for Fr. Cronin Hall. He attended the St. John the Evangelist Church prayer group in Chelmsford, the St. Louis prayer group in Lowell, and the Rosary group at St. Catherine’s.

Cy was a Little League Baseball coach and a basketball coach. He loved to sing and play the ukulele and to swim.

He is survived by his wife, Marita (Boos), of 63years; his sons Gregory Pipan, Robert Pipan and Courtney Price, and Thomas Pipan; his daughter Judith Knox; five grandchildren, Ashley (Knox)Watts, wife of Ryan Watts, Michael Knox, Jr. and his fiancé Molly Pearl, Sophia Grace Pipan, and Greg Pipan’s two children. He also has two great-grandchildren, Grayson Ryan Watts and Hunter Michael Watts, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cy was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph, Bernard, Method, Francis, and sisters Rita and Gertrude.

Visiting hours Monday, July 25 from 2-6 PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA.
