Doreen E. Ameral of Tyngsboro, formerly of Billerica

Doreen E. Ameral of Tyngsboro, formerly of Billerica, 76, died Saturday June 11, 2016 at Palm Center, Chelmsford. She was married to Arnold Ameral with whom she celebrated their 51^st wedding anniversary on January 30. Born in Springfield, MA on August 31, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Kathleen (Kenyon) Baker.  Doreen graduated from St.Joseph’s High School in Somerville with the class of 1957. She worked as a payroll clerk at BASCO Athletic Shoe Co. in Cambridge until marriage. She raised her family in Billerica for over 30 years before moving into a retirement community in Tyngsboro 8 years ago. In her earlier years she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Doreen greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping,playing board games, and traveling up the coast to Maine.  She was an avid reader. Besides her husband,  she is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Kristine and her husband, David MacNeill of Tyngsboro, Kathleen Hayes and her loving partner, Kenneth Tassi of North Chelmsford, a brother, Thomas Baker of Brunswick, GA, three loving grandchildren, David, Paige, and Mitchell MacNeill, two brothers in law, William and Joseph Ameral. She is also survived by her sisters in law, including,Norma, Dorothy and Rosalie Ameral, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Doreen was the sister in law of the late Gerald, Albin, Frank, and Robert Ameral, Evelyn Cordeiro, and Eva Ameral. Visiting hours Wednesday 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Thursday at 8AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford. Private burial,at a later date in Mt.
