Eileen T. O’Loughlin of Chelmsford, MA

Miss Eileen Theresa O’Loughlin, 89, of Chelmsford, MA died Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Brightview Senior Living in Danvers, MA after a long illness.

Eileen was born in Lowell on August 31, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Mary O’Loughlin. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1945; where she was a Girl Officer.

She retired in 1986 from Verizon of Boston after 41 years with the company.

She was an active communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford. She volunteered at the parish as an Eucharistic Minister and lector.

She was a former Board Member of the Northern Massachusetts Telephone Workers Credit Union. She was a member of the Pioneer Club.  She found great joy working in her yard on Graniteville Road.  She traveled throughout the world with her friend Teresa Cox.  Eileen was a kind and vibrant person who made all those she met smile, right up until her passing.

Eileen is survived by her sister, Rita Broderick of Chelmsford and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Perry and Patricia Phaneuf and her brother, Gerald O’Loughlin.

Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA on Monday from 10 to 11:00 a.m followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m..
