Fatu Vaney of Shrewsbury, formerly of Bong County, Liberia

Fatu Vaney, 50, of Shrewsbury, MA formerly of Bong County, Liberia died Monday April 2, 2018 at Mass General Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Liberia on February 15, 1968, the daughter of the late Edward and Gbartor Vaney. She was raised and educated in Liberia.

Fatu worked as a rice farmer in Liberia. She came to the USA in April, 2017 to Shrewsbury, MA to see her daughter and son who she had not seen in 25 years.

She was an active member of Hope Community Christian Church in Lowell. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking.

Fatu is survived by her children, Morris Jordan and his wife, Jatnna of Shrewsbury, Omarley Vaney of Liberia, Kpana Jordan of Shrewsbury, MA and Korpu Vaney of Liberia; her brother James Kaper of Liberia; her sister Zoe Vaney of Liberia, and four grandchildren, Morris, and Mathew Jordan, and Brenzion and Kenemassa Harrison

Her visitation will be Thursday, April 12^th , 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 8 Kirk St., Lowell, MA. Her Funeral Mass will be at church on Friday April 13^th at 10AM. Burial in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
