Kathleen “Kathy” Rosalie Mayer of Westford, MA

Kathleen Rosalie Mayer, 89, of Westford, MA died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

She was married to Donald Mayer with whom she would have celebrated their 62^nd wedding anniversary on October 13.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen and John O’Connell. She graduated from Germantown High School with the class of 1946.

She previously worked at Peerless Engraving of Philadelphia

She was communicant of St. Catherine Church of Westford.

Kathy was a member of the Chelmsford Quilter’s Guild. She loved to quilt, bake, and garden.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons; Neal Mayer and his wife Lei-Sanne Doo of Arlington, MA, Bruce Mayer and his wife Leslie, also of Arlington, and Craig Mayer of Pepperell, MA, two daughters; Laura Boussom and her husband Michael of Lunenburg, MA and Diane Mayer of Boxboro, MA, three brothers; John O’Connell of Milford, NH, Charles O’Connell and his wife Rita of Tulsa, OK, and Joseph O’Connell of NC, nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three siblings, William O’Connell, Joan Anderson, and Anne Smarkola.

Visiting hours Mon. 3 to 7 P.M at St. Catherine Church in Westford. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 10 A.M from St. Catherine Church. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
