Ngem Chea of Lowell, MA

Ngem Chea, 81, of Lowell, MA passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Lowell
General Hospital.
She was married to the late Rom Tuy who passed away on March 30, 2008.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia, she was the daughter of the late Chhem Chea and Reang (Outh) Chea. She came to the USA on July 21, 1983, became a US Citizen. She was a member of Glory Buddhist Temple of Lowell, MA and is a devout Buddhist.
Ngem raised her family of 7 children.
She enjoyed watching Charm, cartoon, nature and animal T.V. shows, spending time with her children and grandchildren, taking walks, traveling to Cambodia, and feeding the birds. She loved to eat many things sour and enjoyed Chinese white rice cake pastry from ChinaTown in Boston. When she was a member of the Glory Buddhist Temple, she would go on Sundays with her sister, brother and daughter to pray, learn the chants of Theravada Buddhism, and give offerings to our ancestors. She meditated and prayed one hour before sunrise and one hour before sundown as this was a way to keep her grounded in her religion and faith.
She is survived by daughters Phearin Tuy of Lowell, MA, Alissa Tuy of
Lowell, MA and Tatyana Tuy of Minneapolis, MN, her sons Europ Tuy and
Kanchana Chhom of Lowell, MA, Phearuth Tuy and Darounsavat Tuy of Roy,
UT and Samnang Tuy of Lowell, MA, 30 plus grandchildren, 15 plus great-
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in American, many many more in Cambodia.
She was the mother of the late Sarou Tuy of Cambodia who died in 2014.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11-2 p.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., N. CHELMSFORD. Her funeral will be Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. with a procession to leave the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. and conclude at Glory Buddhist Temple, Lowell. Her funeral procession will leave the Temple at 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 and conclude at Merrimack Cremation Service, 10 Henry Clay Drive, Merrimack, NH.
