Nuth “Sarah” Um, 87, a longtime resident of Lowell.

Nuth “Sarah” Um, 87, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 25 at her home.

She was born in Battambang Cambodia, the daughter of the late Som Um and Bou Nuth.

Sarah came to the United Sates in 1980 and became a U.S. citizen in 2007.

She enjoyed watching television, and was a beloved grandmother that loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered as being gentle and sweet.

Sarah was predeceased by a son and a sister.

Mrs. Um was the wife of the late Moeun and is survived by two daughters, Siem Sang and her husband of Ontario Canada, and Men Moeun and her husband Sorth Soung of Lowell, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
