Qingping Yu, 94, of Carlisle, MA passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Lahey Hospital, Burlington, MA, surrounded by his loving family.
Qingping was born in Nanjing China on January 10th, 1929 to the late Shuide and Jinlian Yu.
He was married to Lianchun Chen with whom he would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 25th. After working 35 years as a manager of a government agency in China, he retired and moved to the United States in 1994 where he and his wife spent their time with their children and grandchildren.
Qingping was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed sports, calligraphy and chess.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons; Weizhi Yu of Houston, TX, and Shenzhi (Ifeng, daughter-in-law) Yu of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his two daughters; May (Yiming, son-in-law) Chen of Houston, TX, and Minzi (Jason, son-in-law) Ruan of Carlisle, MA, and his eight grandchildren, Sophia Chen of San Francisco, CA, Amy (Adam, grandson-in-law) Khalil of London, UK, Elise Ruan of New York, NY, Rebecca Chen of New York, NY, Michael Yu of Dallas, TX, Alan Ruan of Los Angeles, CA, and Qinhe Lillian Yu and Xinmai Calla Yu of Fort Lauderdale, FL.”
