Sovann Chea of North Chelmsford, MA

Sovann Chea, 55, of North Chelmsford, MA died Monday, May 1, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief fight with cancer.

Born in Battambang, Cambodia, he was the son of the late Khann Chea and Rin Leng. Sovann moved to the United States in November of 1984 and later became a citizen on May 20, 2016.

He was employed by SMC LTD. of Devens, MA where he assembled Medical Devices. When he lived in Tennessee he worked as a farmer where he supervised an entire farm.

Sovann was an outdoorsman who loved all types of fishing especially for porgy. He also enjoyed traveling back to Cambodia to visit his home town. His family remembers him as a great baker who could bake all sorts of baked goods.

Sovann is survived by his son Jeffrey Chea, his three daughters; Christina Hour, Annabelle Hour, and Julie, his brother Loy Leng, his six sisters; Sor Chea, Sam Chea, Kim Heng Chea, Nev Chea, Noun Chea, Geneve Chea, his many grandchildren, and his several nieces and nephews.
