Thyra E. (Nelson) Ricciardi of Westford, MA

Thyra E. (Nelson) Ricciardi, 102, of Westford, MA died surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Town and Country Health Care Center in Lowell.

She was married to the late Karl Ricciardi, who died on January 16, 1983.

Born in Westford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Nels and Esther Nelson. She attended Westford Academy.

Thyra was a hairdresser in Westford and was a proud lifelong resident of Westford.

She was a member of the Chelmsford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Thyra, lovingly known as “T”, was a great cook who loved to entertain her family and friends. She was an avid swimmer, and loved to dance.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri McGrath of Westford; grandson, Paul and his wife, Lori McGrath of Tyngsboro and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Paul Nelson, Phillip Nelson and Ruth Balas all of Westford.

Her Visitation will be Thurs. from 10 to 11am followed by a Funeral Service at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Burial in the West Chelmsford Cemetery, Chelmsford. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
