Pam, there are no words. Al will be missed deeply. He was always there to help and provide for his family. I feel we were blessed to have him in our lives. I keep thinking of some of our last conversations and the smiles he generated. Surely he is still watching over us.
    Love you all. Les

Uncle AL was always the sweetest guy. He embodied a family man. He loved you guys so much. I remember he would drink a Moosehead Beer or two when you all came to CT to visit us. I’ll be raising one of them to him a bit later on. The world lost a genuine, honorable man. You will be missed Uncle AL, Love you

Alan was about 11 years older than me and when I was a child I almost considered him more as a big brother than my uncle. I have a picture of him as a pre-teen sitting cross-legged in the front yard of the family home with infant me in his lap. I’ve been out in Arizona the past 35 years and didn’t get to visit the Moyer family as much as I would have liked to. I regret that. Uncle Al you will most certainly be missed by many.

This is sad news. Alan was instrumental in hiring me at Polaroid. I owe him much gratitude for that. During my tenure there I appreciated his kindness, his caring (including his love for rabbits), his love for music (particularly Mahler), and his professional support. I learned much from him personally and professionally.

My deepest sympathies to Pam and the entire family.

I’m still in a bit of disbelief- Al was such a great guy. I know how much he loved his family and pets, especially his rabbits. His work will live on through the redesign he did on our web site. I feel lucky to have had him on my life. My deepest sympathies to Pam, Ali & Dave, Neil, Casper, Harvey, the kitties and any one else that knew him.

Dear Family of Al, I am so very sorry for your loss. Al’s work on the web-site for the House Rabbit Network was a huge contribution, not only to the volunteers who use it daily but also to prospective adopters and countless people world-wide who simply want to expand their understanding of rabbit care. This is an invaluable legacy.

Deni and I are terribly saddened by the tragic loss of such a wonderful man. We are so sorry we cannot be there in person to help or offer support. He was such a devoted husband to Pam and beloved father to Ali and Neil. We hope with the passage of time you will only remember the fun and joyous times you all shared together.

Pam, Ali and Neil, we are so shocked to hear that Al is no more. Al was a kind, talented and generous man with a heart of gold. He was not only my favorite coworker ever but also a dear friend and guide who made us feel at home away from home. So it comes as an unbearable pain to lose my family-my dad and a friend like family within days of each other. May Al’s soul rest in peace and you find strength to cope with your loss and live on with all the good memories built together.
With love always, Sonita, Subhadra & Siva

I am deeply saddened to learn of Al’s passing. I worked with him closely at MathWorks for several years until his retirement. He was an outstanding engineer, and a wonderful friend with a quiet humility, a deeply caring heart, and a very entertaining sense of humor. A rare combination, and sorely missed.
