Alfred Warren Bauer Jr., 73, of Lowell died September 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Malden he was the son of the late Alfred and Miriam Bauer. He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1963.
He proudly served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He retired from Nortell of Billerica, and previously worked at Honeywell of Lawrence.
Al was a former coach for the Lowell Highland Little League. He loved spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Ohio State Buck Eye’s Football fan.
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Scott and his wife, Karla Bauer of Raymond, NH, and Derek Bauer of Lowell, MA and Derek’s girlfriend, Laura David of Lewiston, ME; three grandchildren Alyson, Joshua and Ryan Bauer; two sisters, Jean and her husband Charles Dean of Tyngsboro, Joan and her husband, Dennis Santos of Dracut, MA; a brother-in-law, Robert Dean of Tyngsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Patricia Dean.
At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation at Merrimack Cremation Service in Merrimack, NH. Memorials may be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Foundation P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
