Alyna Sovann Prak, 39, of Coventry, RI., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 11 at her home.
She was born in Sa Kaeo, Thailand the daughter of Song Prak of Lowell and Torng Yath.
Alyna came to the United States in 1985 and was educated in the Lowell school system. She was a 1998 graduate of Lowell High School. She furthered her education, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She had a true passion for caring for people and had worked as a nurse in Westerly, RI., and was currently employed as a registered nurse at Elmhurst Nursing Home in Providence, RI.
Ms. Prak is survived by her father, Song Prak of Lowell, her siblings, Chanthou Souk and her spouse An Kong, Chantha Prak, Dan Boeun, Chantina Ong and her spouse Brandon Ong, Chanthea Prak, Alena Prak and her spouse Kenner Ouch, and SorannPrak.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 3Pm to 7Pm at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., N. Chelmsford and live streamed at www.dolanfuneralhome.com. Her funeral will be Saturday from the funeral home and livestreamed at 8AM with a cremation service to follow at Merrimack Crematory Services, 10 Henry Clay Drive, Merrimack NH. Please keep in mind COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing protocols are still in effect.

Sovann, I can’t believe you’re gone…we shared a birthday and a love for life and laughter. You taught me so much as a new nurse and we became great friends. I’ll always be thankful for everything I learned from you as a person, and through our friendship.

Savonn we met at the westerly health center. You were someone i always remembered. I have forgot so many people i have worked with but never have i forgot you. Even through some hard times i had toy were always so caring and loving and non judgemental. Its so weird how this world works. Why does it take the best people.
