Ann M. (Botto) Langan, 67, a life-long resident of Lowell, MA passed away, Wednesday evening, February 1, 2023 with her loving husband by her side.

Ann was born on July 20, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York, the second of three children to Stephen G. and Mary E. (Brooks) Botto.  The Bottos later moved to Lowell, MA, home of her mother’s family.  Raised in St. Patrick’s Parish she was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Elementary School and Lowell High School, Class of 1973.

Ann married her beloved husband, Edward M. Langan of Lowell, on September 7, 1975 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Lowell, MA.

She was employed as an office manager for over thirty years with LeClair Roofing of Tewksbury, MA.  In October 2021, Ann and Ed sold their family home of 40 years to build their dream home, a log cabin in Barnstead, New Hampshire where they planned to live out their retirement years together.

Ann was a devoted wife and mother.  Family always came first.  Her husband Ed was her steady rock of love, support and companionship through 47 years of life’s ups and downs.  Her late parents, Stephen G. Botto and Mary E. (Brooks) Botto, were the two biggest influences in her life.  She often spoke of how important they were to her.  Her older brother, Stephen Botto and his wife Colleen and younger sister, Mary Ellen (Botto) Cruckshank and her husband Mark were held close to her heart.  She was also close with her two favorite cousins, Cheryl Robarge and Robert J. Feeley. From day trips shopping and lunch with Cheryl and several hour long phone calls and visits with Robert, she always enjoyed their company and support.

Ann’s pride and joy were her three children Kimberly A. (Langan) Smith and husband, Eric W. Smith Sr., son, Kristopher E. Langan and wife Danielle Langan, daughter Katelyn M. (Langan) Gately and Chris DeLucia, four grandchildren, Natalie Smith, Eric Smith Jr., Jack Smith, and Mason Ganko.  She would do anything for them and give them all the love she had to give.  She also leaves many beloved nieces, cousins, friends and family.
