Bernice H. Charko, 98, of Dracut

Mrs. Bernice Helen (Simonis) Charko, 98, of Dracut, MA died Saturday evening, February 24, 2018 at Wingate at Belvidere in Lowell, MA.

Bernice was born in Lowell, MA, and was the daughter of the late John and Anna Simonis. She was a graduate of Keith Hall of Lowell with the class of 1938, and a graduate of Lowell Business College.

She retired from Raytheon. Bernice was the president and managed DC Welding of Lowell.

She was a communicant of St. Rita Church of Lowell, and a member of Lowell Assembly of God.

She was a member of Dracut Senior Citizens. Bernice enjoyed attending yard sales.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Marianne and her husband, James Vrotsos of Tyngsboro, MA; a son, Daniel M. and his wife, Melanie Charko of Dracut, MA; two grandchildren, Daniel J. and Jonathan Charko; and three nieces, Linda and her husband George Lufkin, Donna Paciulan and her companion, Dennis Feehan, and Carol Stecyk.

She was the sister of the late Helen Paciulan and Frances Stecyk, and the aunt to the late Michael Paciulan.

There will be no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Sat. at 11am at St. Irene Church in Carlisle, MA. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
