Beverly Claire Merrill Longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA

Beverly Claire Merrill, 87, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA passed away peacefully on Friday January 8, 2021, at Willow Manor, Lowell, MA. She was born March 26, 1933 to the late James and Marie (Boudreau) Morris of Billerica, MA. She graduated from Howe High School of Billerica with the class of 1951. During her lifetime, Beverly was employed with Raytheon of Andover, MA where she met her husband Russell. She was a member of the Congregational Church of North Chelmsford, MA.
Beverly was boundless in her generosity, kindness to others, and love of life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, and her many close friends. She loved her time with her family, weekends away with Russ, socializing with dear friends, every child, bird watching, trying new restaurants, shopping, listening to music, nature walks, and caring for pets and wildlife. Beverly had a special gift for easily making friends; she loved to talk and would strike up a conversation with a stranger who would end up becoming a dear friend. Above all, she was most happy when she was making others happy.
Beverly is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Russell W. Merrill of North Chelmsford, her two daughters and their husbands, Beverly and William Herbert of Merrimack, NH, Kim and John (Jay) Lefebvre of Chelmsford; her son, Scott Merrill and his significant other Deirdre Turner of Atkinson, NH; her three cherished grandchildren Alicia (Lefebvre) Brock-Fisher and her husband Christopher of Chelmsford, William Herbert Jr. and his wife SeAnna of Lowell, and Evan Lefebvre of Dover, NH. She will be missed by her three sisters-in-law; Mary Morris of Methuen, Geraldine (Gerry) Morris of Chelmsford, and Gloria Morris of North Chelmsford, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind lifelong friends Debbie MacElroy and Connie Ridener.
She was the sister of the late Stewart Morris, Darrell Morris and wife Helen, Charles Morris, Courtney “Moose” Morris and wife Linda, Harvey Morris, Whitey Morris, and Gwen Morris. She will also be dearly missed by the surviving families of her husband’s late siblings, Grace (Jones), George, and David Merrill.
