Christine Theresa (Munn) Sullivan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Sullivan for 67 years. They shared an affection for each other that was beautiful to witness and rare to see. She placed family and faith above all else.

Born on December 22, 1933, in Jamaica, West Indies, Christine grew up in the small town of Chapleton and attended Immaculate Conception High School with her beloved identical twin, Angela. Christine always considered Jamaica her home and she returned there many times throughout her life. She grew up in the mountains of Good Hope, riding horses, roaming the citrus groves, and spending hours causing trouble with her twin under the doting eyes of her Aunt Aileen (Minnie).

Christine moved to New York where she married Don and began her life in the United States. When they moved their young family from Florida to Chelmsford, this sun loving Jamaican learned to embrace and cherish the four seasons of New England. Christine developed a love of skiing, tennis, golf, gardening and the beach.  She was a proud champion of the Lowell Cities Singles Tennis Tournament and a fierce competitor who never let her kids win, though she rooted them on loudly from the sidelines as a ferocious fan. She loved any social events and could be counted on to be the life of the party.

Christine and Don loved traveling and getting away by themselves. Their favorite spots were Ogunquit, Poland, Maine and Lake Bomoseen, Vermont. They were well known in Chelmsford as the couple that walked everywhere. Most days consisted of daily mass, a long walk, countless hours in the garden and sunsets in their gazebo. She was happy to take any visitors on a tour of her garden pointing out her flowers usually with incorrect names.

Christine lived with such joy in her life and appreciated the beauty in this world, pointing out a simple ray of sunshine hitting the top of a tree or the sparkle of freshly fallen snow. She shared this love of God’s gifts with her children and grandchildren teaching them to say, “Thank you God for this beautiful day!” Grandma was a favorite babysitter and created special memories for each and every grandchild.

Christine is survived by her husband, Donald Sullivan and their five children and spouses: Ricky and Lisa Sullivan, Glynnis and Sal Perruccio, Joe and Sue Sullivan, Bob and MaryAnn Sullivan, and Anne and Jeff Stagnone. She is survived by sisters-in-law Irene(R) and Monica Sullivan, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her 14 grandchildren: Julie, Krissy, Robbie, Steven, Deandra, Katie, Billy, Richie, Jen, Bobby, Michael, Emily and Sam and eleven great grandchildren. She was also the grandmother to the late Michael Perruccio.

Christine is predeceased by her twin sister, Angela Legare, who passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024. The twins came into this world together and out as well.  She is also predeceased by Angela’s husband Phil Legare, parents Horace Frederick and Christine Munn, brothers Owen, Pat, and Colin Munn, sister Sheila Robinson, and baby girl Christine Virginia Sullivan

A special thanks to Jen, Cheryl, Gracie and the workers at the Atrium who provided loving care for our mom in her later years.
