The daughter of the late Arthur V.A. and Berniece A. (Johnsen) Bjork. She was born on Christmas Day in 1954, and was raised in Medford, MA. She was a graduate of Medford High School with the class of 1973, and went on to study business at Bunker Hill Community College. She worked for many years building the family business, Emerson News Agency of Nashua, NH. In recent years she was employed by F.W. Webb in Manchester and Nashua, NH.

From her back deck to a new kitchen to bars and furniture, there was nothing she couldn’t do. She also enjoyed traveling, bird watching, nature and blues & jazz. Most importantly, she loved spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her five cherished grandchildren.
Cynthia is survived by two sons and their spouses, Jack and Debbie O’Connell of Londonderry, NH; Jonathan and Alexa Emerson of Long Island, NY; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jennae Emerson of Milford, NH; Joanna and Patrick Mahoney of Daniel Island, SC; Jaclyn and Heath Creighton of New Ipswich, NH; two brothers and their wives, Arthur and Patricia Bjork of Salem, NH; Ernest and Debra Bjork of Franklin, NH; five grandchildren, Kierra, Cayden, Finn, Khloe and Abel. She was the former spouse of Paul Emerson of Nashua, NH and is also survived by many cousins and close family friends.
She was the Mother of the late Christopher T. Lawless of Medford, MA who passed in November of 2003.

To the wonderful, big, beautiful Emerson family, we are so sad to hear of Cynthia’s passing, but happy she is free from that nasty disease. She was the first friend I had in NH some 30 years ago, and her love of family and friends was inspiring. She had a tireless joy that we’ll always remember. Love you all.

Our world is just a little bit less than what it was, when she was with us. Human-kind just took a hit. She was just such a nice person. I shall remember her for the days of my life
