Dana M. Robbins, 62, of Westford died surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to Bonnie Greenwood with whom he celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on April 30, 2017.
Born in Melrose, MA, he was the son of the late Edward and Dorothy Robbins. He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1972.
Dana worked as a driver for the Picken Printing Company of Chelmsford, the Marinel Transportation Company of Chelmsford, Nashoba Valley Technical High School of Westford and Charters.
He had previously worked as a bartender for the Stony Brook Fish and Game Club of Westford
Dana was a founding and lifelong member of the Stony Brook Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed gardening and raising chicken and other farm animals.
Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Dana Robbins II of Westford; daughters, Tammy Robbins and her companion, Chad Roy of Lawrence and Krystyn Robbins of Westford; brother, Edward Robbins Jr. of Greensboro, NC; father-in-law, Donald Greenwood of Westford; brother-in-law, Carlton and his wife, Catherine Greenwood of Westford; aunts, Agnes Glidden of Chelmsford and Mary and her husband, Ronald Robbins of Wakefield; cousin, Stephen “Rabbit” Van Landeghem and his companion, Earlene Laurin of N. Chelmsford and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 3P.M. at the Stony Brook Fish and Game, 128 Lowell Road, Westford, MA. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
