David E. Barrett Sr., age 77, of Clearwater, FL. Formerly of Billerica, and Quincy MA, passed away in Florida May 28th, 2016.
He was married to Dawn Barrett with whom he celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Evelyn (Doyle) Barrett. He graduated from Archbishop Williams High School with the class of 1957.
His hobbies include golf, boating, camping, playing cards, and Nascar racing. He has been the member of St. Brendan’s Parish for 17 years. He is the member of the Elks (BPOE), Knights of Columbus, Navigators of St. Brendan’s. He was the Division Manager for Boston Edison Co. and Master Electrician for 34 years. He served in the US Coast Guard. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Michael Jr. He is survived by his wife, Dawn of 35 years; children, LeeAnn Mignon and her husband Mickey, David Jr. and his wife Lorry, Ted and his wife Maureen, Jim and his wife Lori, Steven and his fiancée Denice; Step-son, Richard Coughlin Jr.; Step-daughter, Carleen Bowen; sister, Judith Kelley and her husband Paul, 15 Grandchildren and Step-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Visiting hours Tuesday, July 12, from 2 to 3:15 P.M. with a service at 3:15PM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock 1 Medical Center Drive, HB 7070, Lebanon, NH 03756, Please make checks payable to Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Include the memo, in memory of Dave Barrett, on the check.
