Donald PickUSNavyDonald Bence Pick of Westford died Saturday November 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was married to the late Carol (Coughlin) Pick who died October 3, 2013. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Debra Pick who died June 29, 2014.
Born in Arlington, MA, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Maude H. (Bence) Pick. Don was a graduate of Arlington High School with the class of 1949.

He served with the U.S. Navy Submarine Division during the Korean War. Don was employed with Cambridge Electric for 36 years until his retirement in 1996. After his retirement Don and Carol enjoyed snow birding in Florida at The Village of Holiday Lake in Port Charlotte. Don was the defacto “Mayor” of Holiday Lake and the star of the annual variety show with his unique comedy routines and unforgettable banjo solos.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford.
Donald was a lifetime member of the H.E. Fletcher Club in Westford, the American Legion Post 313 in N. Chelmsford, Chelmsford Elks, as well as a Mason at the Simonds Lodge in Burlington, MA.

He is survived by two sons , Michael W. Pick (Karin) of Ellicott City, MD, and Donald H. Pick (Maureen) of Pepperell, MA ; one daughter, Sandra Bridget Pareene (John) of Galloway, NJ; a sister, Gloria Rose and her husband, William of Lake Forest, CA; a sister-in-law, Lillian Pick and seven grandchildren; Andrew, Ryan and Justine Pick of Ellicott City, MD, Lauren and Kyle Pick of Pepperell, MA and Stacey and Sean Pareene of Galloway, NJ.
He was the twin brother of the late Ronald A. Pick of Palm Beach, FL and the brother of the late Virginia Mann of Chelmsford, and the late Patricia Fraser of Clearwater, FL.

Visiting hours Wed. 4 to 7PM. Funeral Thurs. at 9AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his name to the One Fund Boston Inc. P.O.
