My heart and love goes out to Barb and the entire Crowell family. I will never forget what a great guy Chip was. The best. I always looked forward to his spin classes. He was the finest instructor I ever had. His energy was boundless. The music he played, pulsed through him. He encouraged us with every pedal turn. No one could keep up with him. I will never let slip the memory of taking his class along with his wife Barb, and every time Chip would move to the music on his bike, looking over at Barb and cracking up. He was kind, funny, sincere, he was a gift to anyone who was lucky enough to know him. Given different circumstances, he surely would’ve been a first class professional cyclist. But instead, he was a gem of a person. He will be so missed.
We go to the grave of a friend saying, “A man is dead,” but angels throng about him saying, “A man is born.” Have faith, those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity.
Love Always,
Sheryl

Our hearts are broken for you Barbara, and your dear sons . Chip was so very inspirational to us as a family. Going to his spin class was soul affirming. The music that you both compiled was incredible ( remember how I encouraged you to sell the cd’s to me!?!) His enthusiasm was infectious , his love for you always so very apparent as he looked at you during class and making sure all was going well! His spirit will have a life long impact on all of us . It has transcended spinning, biking and is more about having a positive attitude and living life to its fullest and being kind to others. We will pray for strength and peace in the days ahead for you and the boys. He will be your guardian angel and somehow will show you signs that he is with you each day and forever.? We are thankful that we were blessed to have met both of you and we know we have been touched by Chip in more ways than he probably ever realized ???

We were so sad to hear of Chips passing. He was our first and one of the best trainers at Choice fitness in Chelmsford. Chip was a great man, always smiling, and very encouraging. He is the reason me and my daughter have continued to workout. He will be deeply missed by everyone he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Barbara,
I can’t describe my heartbreak and sadness when I heard of this tragic accident, and that it was Chip who was lost. Chip was an amazing man, Father, husband and athlete. I adored working with Chip! A funny highlight to my week would on the rare opportunity when I could either sub for him or take his class. Chip had such a huge personality and presence on the bike such that subbing for him meant I had to bring my A+++++ game. It was an honor to walk in his shoes any time I could. Beyond his presence on the bike, he was truly a genuine, decent, honorable human. He cared deeply and fought for what he believed in!
I’m so heartbroken that this amazing soul was taken so early from us! I pray you find comfort in the knowledge that your amazing husband touched so many people every day on this earth. I pray you find peace and happiness in the memories shared and those you hold dear to your heart.
My love and thoughts to you and your family!! Teri Halio

It’s not hard to look around the neighborhood and see Chip’s work. Whether it be a deck, kitchen, a repaired fence or a ninja obstacle course. His footprint is everywhere. He was a great carpenter but an even greater guy. The neighborhood will never be the same without him. RIP friend…you will never be forgotten!
