Doris S. (Hetu) LaFlamme of Lowell

Doris S. (Hetu) LaFlamme, 89, of Lowell died Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

She was married to the late John LaFlamme, who died on February 25, 2000.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Pamela Hetu.

Doris worked at Brocklemans Brothers of Lowell and Nashua.

She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish of Lowell and a member of the parish’s Ladies Sodality.

Doris was a member of the Ladies Sewing Group at the Sacred Heart Parish in Lowell, MA.

She was a proud lifelong resident of Lowell.

Doris loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.

She is survived by her son, John and his wife, Barbara LaFlamme of Marstons Mills, MA; a daughter, Gail and her husband, Ken Low of Hudson, NH; 3 grandchildren, Marc and his wife, Sara LaFlamme, Ashley Low and Christopher Low and many nieces and nephews.

She was mother of the late Dennis LaFlamme and sister of the late Florian Hetu and Marcel Hetu. Doris was the sister-in-law and dear friend to the late Phyllis LaFlamme of Lowell who died February 12, 2018.

Visiting hours Wed. 4 to 7 P.M. Funeral Thurs. at 9:00 a.m. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marie’s Church at the Holy Family Parish 90 Chamberlain St. Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
