Earl K. Burnette, 86, of N. Chelmsford, MA died Thursday, November 17th 2016 at his home after a long illness.
He was married to Margaret (Matthews) Burnette and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last January. Born in Lenior City, TN, he was the son of the late Ira and Lucy Burnette. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Earl worked as a Nurses’s Assistant at Bedford VA. He enjoyed being out in his backyard, spending time with his family and his dog Buddy. He loved to go the Pheasant Lane Mall. In addition to his devoted wife, Margaret, he is survived by 4 children, Linda Valentino of Salem, NH, Donna Leduc and her husband Edward of N. Chelmsford; Michael Burnette and his wife Helen of Grafton, NH; Kim Pevey and Kevin MacKenna of N. Chelmsford; 6 grandchildren, Corey, Brian, Tina, Kevin, Joey and Erica; 8 great grandchildren, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many siblings from Tennesee and Florida. The family appreciates all the support from Merrimack Valley Hospice.
Visiting Hours are Sunday 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 Middlesex St. Chelmsford, MA. Funeral Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the North Chelmsford Congregational Church, 15 Princeton St., N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, N. Chelmsford.
