Ednusa Maria V Kelley, 96, of Billerica, Ma. Died Sunday, March 10, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was married to the late John D. Kelley, who passed away in 1981.
Born in Forteleza, Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Eduardo Correia and Edith (Viana) Morrissette of Brazil.
She graduated from high school and college in Brazil.
She was employed at Conrad & Chandlers of Boston, as well as various retail stores at the Burlington Mall.
Ednusa came to the United States in 1945, and proudly became a United States citizen in 1999.
She was an avid seamstress. She enjoyed dancing, Brazilian music and she was especially proud of her Brazilian culture. Ednusa enjoyed participating at the events hosted by the Brazilian Consulate in Boston, as well as Brazilian dancing at Moseley’s on the Charles.
She is survived by her daughters Mary and her husband Douglas Zook of Newburyport, MA, Anne Marie and her husband John Normant of Quincy, MA, Edna and her husband Andrew Chalmers of Chelmsford, MA, Elena and her husband Ken Perry of Jacksonville, FL, Joan and her husband Peter Wizes of Goose Creek, SC, and Annette and her husband Clifford Bice of Londonderry, NH. She is also survived by her sisters Frederina “Freddy” Sinacore of Enfield, CT, and Elizabeth Markley of Portland ME. Ednusa is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Iolette Tomaiollo, Jandiera Cooney and Joseditch “Josie” Laudanu-O’Connell, as well as her two brothers.

Ednusa, Maria V. Kelley, Of Billerica died March 10, 2024. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11am at The Congregational Church in North Chelmsford. I am very sorry to hear that your mom passed away. She was always so vibrant! I have some very nice memories of sitting around your living room in Billerica with her with Joannie and Edna and Annette with Lester and the gang. She was very welcoming to all of us. She was also kind enough to hire me and Steve Santa Fe to landscape her backyard when we welcomed the work. I will always remember her fondly.

Dear Annette and Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. It is so sad when your beloved mother’s heart stops beating. What an amazing woman she was! I have to tell you that I have carried her with me all these years. She taught me how to dance! I love to dance and I attribute that love to her.
