I want to express my condolences to the Grout and Lepine families. I was a co-worker and mentor for Elaine and I have to say that the words of her obituary are spot on. I’m very sorry for your loss….It’s never easy to lose a loved one but it especially hurts around the holidays. I hope that Elaine’s husband, children and all of her family and friends can take solace in your memories of Elaine and in her life well lived.

Al,
It was my distinct honor and pleasure to sit and talk with you that night at the High Pointe Hospice House! It was an honor to be welcomed by you into your family at such an important time!
It was through your explanation of your GREAT marriage that I had the privilege to get to know Elaine! After the heartfelt tributes of you, your sons, Elaine’s sister and co- worker today, I am in awe of all that helped make Elaine the incredible woman that she IS!!! I purposely use the present tense as it is obvious that this wonderful woman actually LIVES ON in you and your sons!!! That is testament to her wonderful legacy! The hospice program at the Bedford VA! That also a testament of the incredible vision, ability, drive, and compassion of one very special human being!
You and your sons have every right to always be proud! LIVE ON in the example that she set! Make her proud by carrying on in her memory! As she loved you – pay it forward! She has shown you what to do now!!! God bless!!!
