Elaine Theresa Sun, 65, of Reading, MA passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 15, 2023 at Winchester Hospital.
Born in Lowell the daughter of the late Irene and Delphis Hubert. She was raised and educated in Lowell and was a graduate from Greater Lowell Technical High School.
Elaine was an avid traveler and enjoyed gambling at Foxwoods and Seminole Hard-Rock Casino in Florida with her long time love, now deceased John Ausiello. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping with her sisters, eating out at some of her favorite restaurants and watching t.v. shows.
Elaine had a great sense of humor and a vivid memory. She loved telling stories of her life growing up, and the fond memories she had as a young mother raising her only son. Elaine was a thoughtful and generous soul. She brought smiles to many faces and she will be missed by all who knew her and spent time with her. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her son Jason Sun and his wife Sandra Sun of Windham, Maine; a brother Harvey Poitras; sisters, Sue Belmont, Deborah Hubert, and Cheryl Santiago; grandchildren, Mikaela, Samantha and Elijah Sun, and many nieces and nephews.

You had such a great spirit , super sweet with a great sense of humor . You were very intelligent and extremely caring of others . You would do anything for anyone before doing for yourself , you adored your grandchildren and talked about them all the time . I am so glad to have come across a wonderful human being such as yourself , it was always a pleasure working with you never a dull moment. You are deeply missed day in and day out !
