I was so saddened to read of Betty’s passing in the Lowell Sun and want to extend my deepest sympathy to all of her family for your loss of this amazing woman.
I wasn’t too surprised to hear she fell and broke her hip changing a light bulb (heard this secondhand so not sure if this is how it really happened)she fell), since she was so active in every way in spite of her health issues. I was so used to seeing her waiting for her ride to dialysis in the lobby, complaining they were late while chewing gum and dressed to the nines. She never had a hair out of place thanks to her hairdresser daughter. While waiting for her to return to her unit, I heard she said she wasn’t coming home because she was so happy at Chelmsford Crossings and wasn’t leaving there! I regret I never did get to visit, but I sent cards. We all looked up to her and hoped we would age as gracefully as Betty did, but I doubt any of us will.
Please know how much pleasure we all received from having Betty live with us at Wayside for all those years.
My sympathy and prayers to all of you,
Sincerely, Aline Morris, Wayside’s Building One.

So sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. I got to know Betty when she moved into Chelmsford Crossings as my Mom had also recently moved there. Betty was a lovely lady and always made an effort to stop and chat with us. My deepest sympathies to her family.

    Sincerely, Noreen Kealey
