Ethel Kenney of Chelmsford, MA

Ethel Kenney, 79, of Chelmsford, MA died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital.

She was married to the late John Kenney who passed away July 12, 2005.

Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late George Furtado and Margaret (Morris) Schoellerman.

Ethel graduated with a GED. She retired from Raytheon of Lowell and S. Andover after 25 years.

She enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods and playing Bingo. She was a very faithful and devoted Catholic and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford.

Ethel is survived by sons James Kenney and his wife Patricia of Hampton, NH, Timothy Kenney of Lowell, MA, William Kenney of Lowell, MA, John Kenney of Westford, MA, brother “Sonny” John Furtado of Chester, NH, sisters Eleanor Stout of N. Chelmsford, MA, Mary and her husband Henry Clark, of Osteen, FL., nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Ronald Furtado and Anita Mowatt.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND WAKE AND FUNERAL. Visiting hours Friday 10 – 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA with funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell.
