Eunice A. (LeMasurier) DeSilva went home to be with her Lord and her loved ones who have gone before her on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Accent Care Hospice House in Milton, MA.

Eunice was born March 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Thomas G. LeMasurier and Bessie M. (Benest) LeMasurier. She was born in Lowell, MA and grew up in North Chelmsford, MA. She also lived in Nashua, NH, Brookline, NH, Maynard, MA and Plymouth, MA. Eunice graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1960 and from Northeastern University in 1967.

She leaves two sons, Joseph J. DeSilva, Jr. of Medford, NJ and his wife, Therese; John T. DeSilva of Gordonsville, VA and his wife Heidi; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hannah and Peter. She leaves her partner of many years, Jeremiah Yankauskas, of Plymouth, MA, his two sisters, three children and six grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Ellie Skinner and her partner John Ng, Florida; one nephew, Marc Skinner and his wife, Amber, together with their two children in Texas.

Eunice loved her family and her friends who live throughout the US and in Europe. She loved music, especially piano music, having taken piano lessons for 10 years. Reading, the ocean, travel, and good food also brought her great pleasure. She especially loved the villages and mountains of Vermont, the coast of Maine and the island of Jersey (part of Great Britain) from which her four grandparents came.

Eunice began her career as a teacher. She taught first grade in Nashua, NH, kindergarten in Hollis, NH and first, third and fifth grades in Chelmsford, MA. She left education in 1982 to enter the corporate world, being hired as a software engineer by Digital Equipment Corporation. In addition to her work at DEC, Eunice worked at Data Dimensions (a software, consulting company) and Fidelity Investments, as a consultant, systems analyst, project manager and program manager. She retired in 2009.
