Flossie M. (Gearline) Allison, 79, of Lowell, MA passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Northwood Rehabilitation Center in Lowell, MA. Flossie was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever she went. Born in Shelby, North Carolina, June 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ervin Boykins and Flossie (Petty) (Boykins) Wilson. Flossie was educated in the Shelby School system. After school, Flossie moved to Lowell and worked for Raytheon Technologies; retiring in 2008 after nearly thirty years of dedicated service. She was sincere in her faith and was a former member of Bethel AME Church, Grand St. in Lowell. She enjoyed Bowling and playing cards with her friends and family. Flossie’s pride was in her nieces and nephews, and she played a vital role in their lives.
She is survived by her sister, Lela Boykins Hall and her husband, W. Thurman Hall of Lowell, MA, two brothers, David L. Boykins and Henry Petty both of Lowell, MA, her sister-in-law, Colleen (Murphy) Boykins of Lowell, MA, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was the twin sister of the late Rossie M. (Buline) Mitchell who passed away June 17, 2017. She was also the sister of the late Edith M. Settles, Rita N. Douglas, Betty Ann Boykins, Jimmy L. Boykins and Anthony L. Boykins. She was the sister-in-law, to the late William Settles, Sr., Clinzo Douglas, Sr., and Lawrence C. Degree, Sr.
Visiting hours Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 9-10:15AM. at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA.
