Francis “Frank” J. O’Malley Jr. of Westford

Francis “Frank” J. O’Malley Jr., 79, of Westford died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston.

He was married to Reine L. O’Malley with whom he celebrated their 59^th wedding anniversary on August 17, 2016.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Francis J. Sr. and Gladys O’Malley. He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1955.

He proudly served with the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Frank retired from Raytheon of Northborough in 1995, where he worked as a precision inspector.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Frank was Chief Stewart and an active member of the IBEW.

He was an avid volunteer for the Special Olympics, LifeLinks, Community Teamwork Inc. and RARA of Lowell.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Michael and his wife, Melanie O’Malley of Dracut; daughters, Kelly and her husband, Douglas Adams of Chelmsford and Tammy O’Malley of Westford; sister, Gail McCutcheon of Lowell; grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Justine Braley of Townsend, Shelby O’Malley of Dracut, Stephanie Adams of Lowell and Stephen Adams of Lowell; great grandchildren, Morgan Braley and Jenna Braley and many nieces and nephews.
