Francisco S. Picanso, 91, of Lowell, MA died Sunday morning, December 12, 2021.

He was married to the late Silvina C. (DaSilva) Picanso, who died on February 3, 2013.

Born in the Azores, he was the son of the late Jose C. Picanso and Rosa Picanso

He was educated in the Azores. He came to the United States in September of 1969 and became a U.S citizen in 1995.

He retired from Roche Brothers of Lowell and previously worked at Prince Grotto and Wang Labs.

He was a member of the Portuguese American Blues Club, and enjoyed gardening and was an animal lover.

He is survived by his son, John and his wife Luiza Picanso of Lowell, two grandchildren, Stephanie and Emily Picanso, and a brother, Alexandrino Picanso and his wife Maria of Tewksbury as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Maria Picanso, Ulivia Silva, Rita Picanso, Izilda Silva, Manuel Picanso, Serafin Picanso and Joao Picanso.

 

Visitation will be Thurs. 8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Funeral Mass at will follow the visiting hours at 10:00 A.M at St. Anthony’s Church in Lowell. MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN CHURCH.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
