Mrs. Gail Ann (Girard) Costa, 65, of Hartford, VT formerly of Chandler, AZ and N. Chelmsford, MA died Saturday evening, October 20, 2018 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a brief illness.
Gail was the wife of the late Donald J. Costa who passed away in 1992. She was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Jennie H. (Bagdonas) Girard. She attended Dracut High School.
Gail retired from Frye’s Supermarket of Chandler, AZ several years ago and took care of her animals, a dog and cat, which she dearly loved. She enjoyed the warm weather in Arizona and loved hearing stories about her grandchildren. She recently moved back to New England to be close to her family.
Gail is survived by her three sons, Neil Costa of Gloucester, MA, Michael Costa of Norwich, VT, and Joseph Costa of Lowell, MA; two daughters-in-law, Kathleen and Kristina; sisters, Judith and her husband, George Kosiavelon of N. Waterford, ME, and Patricia Campbell; a brother, Paul and his wife, Frances Girard of Lowell, MA; four grandchildren, Ella, Serafin (Finn), Lincoln, and Quincy Costa; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Thurs. 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral Fri. at 10am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Service at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA. I have so many fond memories of Gail. She was my babysitter for many years when I was young. She loved her dog Pudgie back then. She was a wonderful women and will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace.

Mrs Costa will be missed by us all. She took me into her home as a “smart ass” kids and treated me no differently than her own.
Loved that woman. May she rest in eternal peace in the kingdom of heaven.
