Gayle Elizabeth Keene, 76, of Chelmsford, MA passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA.
Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen (Carr) Jellis.
Gayle graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1965. She also graduated from the University of Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in science. Gayle was a R.N. for many years and was employed by various agencies.
Gayle was a very thoughtful and loving person who always had others in mind. She enjoyed finding small personal gifts for her friends and family. One of her favorite hobbies was crocheting. Gayle would often crochet gifts for her friends and family, when the news of a baby was heard, she would start a blanket. Some things that she loved most were the color purple, visiting the beaches in Maine, and above all else spending time with her family.
Gayle is survived by her son Brandon Keene of Chelmsford, MA, her daughter Kim Cassie of Westford, MA, her step-sons Kevin Keene of Wilton, NH, and Daniel Keene of Marlborough, MA, her sister Shelia Kozlowski of Peterborough, NH, her three grandchildren; Michael Cassie, Matthew Cassie, and Makayla Cassie, her three step grandchildren, and her two step great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lynda Ray.
