George Charles Sarris, 85, of Pelham, NH passed away peacefully Friday, December 9, 2022 at The Arbors of Bedford, NH.

He was married to the love of his life, Donna J. (Gagnon) Sarris with whom he would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on February 20, 2023.

Born in Lowell, MA, George was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Thibault) Sarris.  He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and was very proud of his Greek heritage.

George graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1955. George worked as a Software Engineer and retired from Fidelity Investments of Merrimack, NH in 2012.

In his early years, he served with the United States Army Reserves.

George loved his home and was a talented handyman.  He could often be found doing upkeep for the comfort and enjoyment of his family.  He loved an impeccable yard and could be found riding his lawn tractor, working on his yard, or painting and perfecting his home. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching or reading about WWII and related history.  George and his wife loved the beach and would often vacation in Ogunquit, ME.

George was quick-witted and humorous.  When George joked and laughed, it was contagious.  He was fiercely loyal to his family and at his happiest when surrounded by them; George loved his family above all else.

In addition to his devoted wife, George is survived by his loving children; his son and his wife, George and Shari Sarris of Manchester, NH, and his daughter and her husband, Kristyn and Bill DiBuono of Londonderry, NH.

George is also survived by his three brothers and their spouses; Nicholas and Betty Lou Sarris of Tyngsboro, MA, Dennis and Mary Ann Sarris of Pelham, NH, Dean Sarris of Lowell, MA, as well as two sisters; Theodora and Robert Hickey of Middleboro, MA, and Charlene Sarris of Lowell, MA.

He was a proud grandfather of three; Billy, Ella, and Jack DiBuono, and cherished his many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved sister Kiki Cohen and nephew Charles G. Sarris II.
