He was married to Marianne “Mickie” (Sorenson) Dumont with whom he recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on September 3, 2023.

Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Louis Dumont and Irene (Marcotte) Dumont.

    Dumont Family,

Condolences, to the Dumont family and friends. I am sorry to hear of “uncle Jerry’s passing, it’s always hard to see a good man leave our world. I loved him, he so cared about everyone, no matter who they were, and treated everyone like they were the most important person in the world. He was one of the great ones!

Mrs. Dumont and family: I would just like to express my condolences for a wonderful parish man who gave years of his time and talent to Saint John the Evangelist parish in North chelmsford. I first met Jerry when he was the head usher at the Sunday morning mass with Bob Moore. They were a great team and I was always impressed with their working together. Jerry and I had a funny relationship. He knew that I wanted to get on the “9 o’clock” Sunday mass as an usher but he would always “tease” me and would say; “I’ll call you if I need you”! But I liked and respected him and would always be there for him when one of his family needed prayers (especially Sean). I have always kept him my prayers. God bless him and all of his beautiful family. Sincerely, Ed Ciampa, SJE.
