Gloria J. (Hachey) (Russo) Marcouillier of Chelmsford, MA

Mrs. Gloria Jean (Hachey) (Russo) Marcouillier of Chelmsford, MA died Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Ayer Valley Nursing Home in Ayer, MA surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health.

She was married to the late Robert S. Russo who died September 30, 2008 and the late Leonell Marcouillier who died August 21, 2023.

Born in Winthrop, MA on February 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Agustus and Louise (Slack) Hachey.  She was a graduate of Somerville High School with the class of 1958.

Gloria was employed in her earlier years with Purity Supreme in Billerica, she retired in 1999 from the Lobster Pound in Kissimmee, FL.

She was a faithful communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford.

Gloria was an active volunteer at St. Cloud Hospital and the Senior Center both in St. Cloud Florida.  She was a 14-year member and past board member of Chelmsford Pop Warner, a member of the Chelmsford Senior Citizens Club.  She enjoyed crocheting but was most happy spending quality time with family and friends especially her cherished seven grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons and their wives, Robert and Ashley Russo of Chelmsford, Richard and Shaleigh Russo of Hollis, NH and Russell and Suzanne Russo of Portsmouth, NH; a daughter, Marion Cronin and her husband, Brian of Pepperell, MA; a sister, Ann Webber of Manchester, NH; seven grandchildren, Victoria and her husband, Scott Middleton, Michael, Kevin, and Jack Russo, Jesse, Jonathan and Patrick Cronin; a sister-in-law, Josephine Swain of Tyngsboro, MA as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

She was the sister of the late James, Elaine, and George Hachey, and Carol Thorton, the sister-in-law to the late Thomas Thorton, and the aunt of the late Patricia Ann Hachey and the Mary Louise Nichols.

Gloria’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Ayer Valley and Compassus for their compassionate care and love they provided Gloria.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Gloria’s visiting hours will be Tues. April 9, 2024 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, followed by a Funeral Service at 11a.m.at St. John the Evangelist Church, N. Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, N. Chelmsford.
