Harriet Eileen (Brouillette) Burns, 97, of Lowell died Sunday afternoon, February 11, 2018 at Wingate Belvedere Nursing Home in Lowell, MA.
She was married to the late Edward F. Burns, who died on March 1, 1976.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ella Brouillette. She graduated from the Sacred Heart School of Lowell and Lowell High School with the class of 1937.
Harriet worked as a secretary for the Chemistry Department at Lowell Technological Institute.
She was a communicant of St. Marguerite D’Youville Parish in Dracut and was a devout Catholic.
Harriet was a proud lifelong resident of Lowell. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. Harriet treasured her pet sheltie, Lucy.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne M. and her husband, Thomas W. Brennan of Lowell; a brother, John Brouillette of Nashua, NH; a Goddaughter, Maureen and her husband, Thomas Archambault of Oscula, FL; neighbors, Clive and his wife, Alethea Reid of Lowell and James and his wife, Shirley Capsalis of Dracut; many friends including Midge Landry of Lowell, MA and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Fred Brouillette, Richard Brouillette, William Brouillette, Dorothy Chambers and Ruth Dickerson.
