Mrs. Jane Stasia (Ferus) Daly of Lowell, died early Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
She was married to Mr. William E. Daly with whom she would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on August 5, 2018.
Born in Lowell, MA on April 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie (Witkos) Ferus. She was a Lieutenant with the Girl Officers and graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1949, and Lowell Commercial College.
She was employed in her earlier years with the Lowell Dairy and the Raytheon, but most recently as a clerk in the Treasures Office with the City of Lowell until her retirement in 2003.
She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Lowell.
She was a past president and member of the St. Stanislaus School Parent/Teacher Club. She was a member of St. Cecelia’s Choir.
Jane’s favorite vacation spots were the White Mountains, the beaches of Seabrook, NH and Salisbury, MA, and the Cove at Yarmouth on Cape Cod.
Besides her husband, William, she is survived by a son and his wife, William E. and Kimberly (Emerson) Daly, Jr. of Lowell, two daughters and their husbands, Mary J. and Kevin McKenna of Tewksbury, Karen A. and Robert Desruisseaux of Lowell, three brothers-in-law and their wives, Leo T. and Ann Daly of Westford, James and Karen Daly of Stoneham and Raymond Ledoux of Tyngsboro, MA, four cherished grandchildren, Brad Daly, Cassie and Jessica Desruisseaux, Maddi McKenna, as well as several nieces, nephews and close family friends.
She was the sister of the late Stasia Ledoux of Tyngsboro who died in January of 2008, and the sister-in-law of the late Patricia Ready of Maryland.
The Dalys would like to thank the compassionate care givers at Sunny Acres Nursing Home for their love and care they gave Jane.
Visiting hours Tues. 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Wed. at 9am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10am at Holy Trinity Parish in Lowell. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials may be made in her name to the Sunny Acres Patient Activity Fund, 254 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824.
