    Dear Chris,
I am so sorry at the passing of your mom, Aunt Jean, the Matriarch of the Melanson family. She was always so kind, so quick witted and so opinionated. I will miss her laugh, sage advise and the Pro-Republican emails she would send me. Your mom always gladly opened her home to our family. She was always so well read and up to date on current affairs, and was always so proud of her service to our country in the Air Force. She was especially proud of you. I am sorry I will be unable to attend her services, as I am taking care of my wife. Love to you. your children and beautiful bride.

    Your Cousin Glenn

Prayers and thoughts from one of her “Jersey Girls”. Aunt Jean was one of a kind. I used to love to come up and see her she was always such a lot of fun with a wicked sense of humor! She was so thoughtful and generous, I’ll never forget when she worked at Hanscomb AFB and I worked at McGuire AFB she helped me call my then boyfriend Joe who was stationed temporarily in Newfoundland….I’ll never forget when she gave me a special wedding shower for all my relatives in New England…what a surprise!! She loved when my son and I would come up to see her at her little house by the lake…loved when Stephen would run out to fish when he first got there. She was always full of stories and was always interested in what we were doing. She made the BEST baklava EVER!!!! I was so proud to be your niece. I will miss you!!! Your Jersey Girl, Carol
