I first met Jean in 1957. Her future husband, Ray and I hung out together along with his brother Billy. One day we when to pickup Jean’s brother Bob at his home in Centerville. When we arrived, Jean’s mother asked us to drop Jean off at Kearney Sq in Lowell. Jean was about 13 or 14 years old at the time. I remember Ray’s exact words, “Get in the car kid” How romantic, but it was all up hill from there. Eventually Ray & Jean got married & had four wonderful children & I met a girl from Chelmsford, Ma & we got married in 1959 & also had four wonderful children. During the sixties the four of us got together & did things but drifted apart due to work & family commitments. In the nineties after Ray retired from the police force & I retired from the State Police & the kids were all grown up, we renewed our friendship again. We all loved camping so the four of us would take our campers & head off in the summer & fall months to Maine, Canada, Niagara Falls & we would visit them in Conway, NH when they had the Gift Shop. In the winter we would get together at their place in Zephyrhills, Fl & they would visit us in Davenport, Fl. Because my wife & I were both Cast Members at Disney the four of us would go to the Theme Parks courtesy of Mickey. I am so glad that I took a lot of movies & pictures. It was so much fun to look back & remember the good times. My wife & I remember how much we would enjoy sitting around listening to Jean’s wonderful stories she would tell. She would have made a great late night talk show host. I use to kid her that she reminded me of the Matinee Lady on the Johnny Carson show. We will miss her so very much and pray that someday we will all be together again someday in Heaven, but we are also very thankful that we had all these years to enjoy each other company while we had the chance to. Miss Jean, you’ll always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers forever.

Ray and family, we are so sorry for the loss of Jean. She was a classy lady and we are glad to have gotten to know her. We first met Ray and Jean in January, 2009, when we bought our park model next door to them at Majestic Oaks in Zephyrhills. We hit it off right away and became good friends. We did a lot of things together, had a few cocktails, and spent a few late nights solving the problems of the world. We really enjoyed our time together. Jean was the “hostess with the mostess” and always made sure you had something to eat and/or drink. Even after we left the park, we continued to get together a few times a season. Jean was so proud of her family and told the best stories of their accomplishments. Ray, we know you two also had a special relationship. She would do anything for you. She was loved by a lot of people, including us. She will be missed.

We met Jean thru my husband Jean was Jims sisters neighbor across the street. We had a lot of laughs whenever we would be lucky to get together with Jean and Ray. She had such a great way of making you comfortable. May Ray have peace just think of all the fun times they shared together. I’m sure her friend has the door open just waiting for Jean the good lord will make sure Patsy and Jean have lots of time to catch up. God bless Jean once again we have lost a great person.
