Jeannette Patricia Dumont, 91, of Tyngsboro, MA died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at The Palm Center, Chelmsford, MA.
She was born in Portland, ME , the daughter of the late Edward Chevalier and Yvonne (Clement) Chevalier. She attended Lowell High School. She retired from the Chelmsford Post Office in 2000.
She was a communicant of St. John’s the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford, MA. She was a member of East End Cribbage Club and The Tyngsboro Senior Center. Jeannette enjoyed bowling and bingo.
She was married to Robert M. Dumont who died in January 1973. And a dedicated partner to Alvin A. Pufhal who died in 1991. She is survived by her son Robert M. Dumont of Tyngsboro, Ma., her son Edward Dumont and wife Diane of Lowell, Ma. and her daughter Janet Vinal and husband Steven of Tyngsboro, Ma. As well as 4 grandsons, Jason Dumont and his wife Natalie, Rob Dumont, John Vinal and Joshua Kennedy, her granddaughter Karen Vinal, who she was happy to see graduate High School ranked 5th in her class. And her great-grandson Max Dumont (a light in her life) as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Germaine Dumont, grandmother of the late Scott Dumont, sister of the late Louise Morea and Edward, Raymond and Jerome Chevalier.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Tuesday, June 22m 2021 from 3 to 7 P.M. a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., Chelmsford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the Town of Billerica Scholarship Foundation in memory of Scott Dumont, please make checks payable and mail to Billerica Scholarship Foundation, Town Hall Attn Treasurer’s Department, 365 Boston Road., Billerica, MA 01821.
